Digital x-rays are quickly becoming the standard in dental imaging. Digital x-rays allow the doctor to get a high quality examination of your teeth and potential dental conditions. The digital imaging software allows the doctor to view a number of different observations of the tooth to gain a better understanding of proper course of management. Digital x-rays provide a great benefit to the patient. Not only are they an excellent diagnostic tool, but they decrease radiation to the patient by over 80%.
It is much easier to understand what is happening in your mouth if you can see the problem on a computer monitor. Intraoral cameras are an excellent means of allowing the patient to view potential dental conditions in their own mouth. These digital images can be utilized to provide information to insurances and other doctors if necessary.
We have added an Oral Surgeon to our dental family. Board-certified oral surgeon, J. Brian Murphy, D.D.S. offers a wide variety of oral surgical services including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, and sinus lift procedures.
Check out our new 3D-digital Dental Cone Beam CT Scan. The imaging device is a computed tomography (CT) which is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. This technology produces three dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and
bone in a single scan.
